Most of the pictures below are of me handling my own dogs, the brindle dog is Mystery Mountain's
Eye of the Tiger, affectionately known as Rocco.

I handle my own dogs in the show ring as well as for Mystery Mountain Mastiffs, and have
availability from time to time to handle other dogs (ringside pick up only).

My show schedule is here, dog shows are noted, you can contact me at 661-340-5723 or

The picture at left center is not a good picture, yet one
of my favorites. The judge~Mr. Ron Menaker is not
wearing two different shoes.

Marvin had been given a toy  by one of the vendors at
the show and was so in love with the toy that I had a
really hard time getting it away from him when we had
to go in the ring.

Marvin KNEW exactly where his toy was when we got
out of the ring and got it! When we went to take win
pictures with the judge Marvin was having no part of
giving up his toy!

The judge, the photographer and myself were all
laughing hysterically trying to get Marvin to stand still

without his toy to get a picture! The judge held the toy
without his toy to get a picture! The judge held the toy
to get Marvin's head pointing in the right direction and
without his toy to get a picture! The judge held the toy
then dropped it, and this is what we got! So, the judge
is NOT wearing two different shoes, that is Marvin's
blue stuffy toy on the judge's foot!
The picture at the top left is Kaia winning a 4 point major at
Summerfest in Ventura, Ca.

Top right is myself in the ring with my beloved
Sunny at the
Palm Springs Kennel Club shows in Indio, Ca.

Bottom right is
Marvin after winning a 3 point major also at the
Palm Springs Kennel Club.

Bottom left is myself in the ring with
Rocco at a show in
Northern California.

For reference I stand just under 5'10" tall.

While I thoroughly enjoy showing dogs, I do not believe that all
dogs should be shown or that all champions should be bred. I do
not believe that a championship is necessarily an indication of
quality and it certainly will never be an indication of good health!
Some of the best representatives of any breed can be found
sitting on their owner's couch!

I learnt a lesson not too long ago,

When I took my dog to an All Breeds show.

As I watched him standing in the ring,

I overheard a comment which hurt with a sting.

'Twas then I realised there in a trice,

Don't say anything if it isn't nice.

Each dog may have his faults in your eyes,

You may not like his colour, movement or size.

But to the person who loves him he's the most perfect thing,

That's why he's showing him there in the ring!

We'd all like to win, but there aren't many blues,

The judge may not give one to your dog and you.

So remember, each dog is a winner in his own master's heart,

So please don't stand there and pick him apart.
